I think I see this differently than it is intended.
I think we should give up all our vices. Like, I visualize writing them on pieces of paper, holding it up in the wind- and watching it disintegrate into nothingness. Each one of them, one by one- until we have completely given up what we cannot control. Giving it all to Him. He resurrects our ashes and turns them into something beautiful. He calls us up from the ashes.
When we have gone through the long list of our problems, worries, anxious thoughts- and we have nothing.. It’s time to set yourself on fire. Burn. Take your life, and turn it into something. Set yourself on fire, and burn for the God of the Universe.
That is all that is left to do. I am getting to this point, and I am so excited.
I think this weekend, I am going to burn pieces of paper with my vices. it seems relieving.
